Gammage & Burnham

Phoenix, AZ
20,000 SF

Founded in 1983, Gammage & Burnham has built their reputation as one of the most highly respected, full-service business law firms in Arizona. They have grown their client base and practice areas to include agriculture, zoning and land use, healthcare, creditor’s rights, commercial finance, corporate transactions, construction law and commercial litigation. Gammage & Burnham engaged McCarthy Nordburg as their design partner to design the new offices in downtown Phoenix. With the firms roots in the southwest, they desired the design to pay homage to their past and reflect their current culture and brand to reinforce the future of the organization. McCarthy Nordburg worked closely with the real estate team to evaluate several potential new locations before deciding to relocate to an adjacent tower. The aesthetic goal of the project was to incorporate materials, textures and colors reminiscent of Arizona and the southwest. Warm modern wood tones contrasting against textural floor and wall tiles provides a visual and tactile experience as you enter the reception, while integral lighting highlights the firm’s extensive art collection. The attorney offices utilized full glass fronts and the legal assistants’ stations utilize a furniture solution instead of the traditional built-in millwork.

“McCarthy Nordburg was the clear choice as our design partner. They brought excellent listening skills to our office planning committee. Based on our unique goals and objectives, they presented smart solutions to help us translate our culture and practice into an elegant functional workspace. The new offices meet the needs of the next generation of lawyers and serve as a beautiful backdrop for the firm’s southwest art collection. We couldn’t be happier with the way the space turned out and would recommend McCarthy Nordburg without hesitation.”
